The primary goal of the Action Social Alert is to put decent work
at the core of the international political agenda. Because decent work
is central to efforts to reduce poverty, and is a means for
achieving equitable, inclusive and sustainable development. Labour rights violations, social protection and job creation are of specific concern to World Solidaritry.
The advocacy work of the Action Social Alert aims at a variety of international organisations and is based on research and policy papers. Considering the themes, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) is definitely an important organisation. In order to have a bigger impact, Social Alert also invests in and collaborates with international civil society networks (CSO), such as the Decent Work Decent Life network and the EU Working Group on Social Protection.
